Waiting for baby....

While waiting for the new baby, we've been busy buying laundry detergent and trying it out. I found a no-name brand that has very little fragrance, but no bad additives or whitening agents. It was also cheap! I think the bucket came with 150 loads and it is in powder form. So far it has worked quite well....however, it has not been tried out with a real messy diaper!

Last Sunday the orchestra at church surprised Kevin and I with a diaper cake. Imagine my surprise when I found out it was made entirely out of cloth diapers! I had never seen one made like this. They are prefolds and if you look at the this picture you can see the swirl of the prefolds and how the cake was put together. I know that I mentioned not using prefolds in previous posts, however, prefolds make great inserts; they're very absorbent! I promise to keep you posted with news of their absorbency and how it compares to other inserts we use.

The diaper cake is decorated with cute little baby things, duck candles and music notes!
