Being Sick + Using Cloth = No Fun

Our little man brought home a stomach virus this week. He started throwing up on Tuesday morning (at 2:30 AM) and continued to do so every hour on the hour until 7 AM. Kevin stayed home with him and we made the executive decision to put him into disposables due to a rash on his bum. (The rash happens due to the acidity in his belly and being sick. Aquaphor to the rescue!! After several healthy applications of Aquaphor, his rear is back to its normal color.)

As for the rest of the week, being a new parent, I decided that it was a 24hr bug, that worked best for my schedule, and considering we were going away and I had a lot of meetings lined up at work. Well, I ended up working 1/2 days for the rest of the week and missed a few meetings. I was fine on Wednesday, however, our little guy infected the whole day care (it shut down for two days). By Thursday morning I was no longer fine. I will spare you the details. Come Friday we were all on the mend, however, our little man was still dealing with some loose BMs and was still wearing disposables. Speaking of disposables, I found my new favorite disposable wipe. It's biodegradable. It's manufactured by Parent's Choice and they're organic cotton and other natural fibers. I think it's rather humorous that the wipes state that they're made from at least 15% organic cotton. In the grand scheme that's not a lot. But really, they're soft, they smell good and they do not cost any more than the "name brands". Plus, they get the job done. They even take baby throw up off car upholstery and the car seat.

You poor poor thing! Last night you sounded like you're all much better.
