It's almost Christmas

It's almost Christmas and all through clothdom people are shouting "I'm running out!!". OK, ok maybe the rest of the world is not running out of cloth, maybe other people do not do full loads of cloth diapers every other day after a long day of work. Maybe, just maybe, people have all that they need...maybe they have a better plan. My current plan looks like this, dump all the diapers and liners into a cold wash, then a hot wash, go to bed, in the morning hang up all the diapers on the drying rack, wring out the liners and dry them in the dryer. Get home from work and start putting the diapers back together. Whew...it's a lot.

Does that mean that I am giving up cloth?!? No way! I still love the cloth, what it means is that for Christmas Kevin is getting 6 new diapers and 12 liners (the stuff you stuff into the diaper). Lucky him, eh? I was searching on Craigslist for new cloth and found someone who was selling the BG 3.0s for $16 each and she had the new colors! (Kevin's favorite cloth are the BGs) Whooie!! My mother, very kindly, drove to this woman's house and bought the diapers and liners for me (what a mom).

So, day care and cloth. Our day care provider is awesome, we love her. She changes the baby every 1.5 hrs, almost to the minute (we get a daily sheet of everything he does). So, he can easily go through 5-6 diapers there. At home he goes through another 3 or 4....in two days that's a total of 20 diapers or more of the stash. I try to keep his diaper bag stocked up for her and that's where the stress rolls in. However, we do like cloth better than disposable and working and cleaning them isn't too bad. I think I'd rather be in charge of just washing them and not working...if I had a choice. But, like I said, working and washing isn't too bad.
