Uncle Matt just made it.....

Today was a day of firsts for us (there will be a lot of mention of dirty things...you may not want to read beyond this line).

First off, this morning at church, the baby decided to go #2 twice. Well, maybe only once, but I changed him thinking he was done....then I got the look from him (sigh). I was attempting to check people in and get the nursery area set up for the 8:30 service and didn't really have time to change him right then. One of the infant room workers offered to change him for me. I politely declined and mentioned the mess that I knew would be in his pants. This worker was persistent and said that he really didn't mind. I quickly gave him the run down of cloth and how it mixes with #2. The end of the tale is this worker ended up shaking the excess into the toilet (even after I told him that I would do it later). What a guy!!

Our next first, happened after church, Uncle Matt came over to babysit while Kevin and I went to a musical (How the Grinch Stole Christmas...super cute). I gave Uncle Matt a quick run down of cloth type necessities (when I first told him that we would be using cloth last year he claimed that he would put him in disposables before using the cloth). He said that he was fine with everything and we left. We got back and the baby had on a new outfit....which was more of an adventure for Uncle Matt than the diapering! He managed to change him twice and only one leak....not too bad!

Soon after he left our little man was ready for a nap and I changed him. As I was opening the diaper to the 3rd mess of the day, I started wiping and noticed that it was up his backside, on the changing table (in a huge quantity) and all over his body (the last first). Since he was in cloth, I was surprised that the explosion happened. Needless to say the tub was the preferred method of cleaning and the nap had to wait. Uncle Matt should be so thankful...although it could be his fault!!
