Fluffy Mail

We've bought a bunch of new diapers recently. Ok, by a bunch I mean 5 in the last month or so... I am currently the biggest fan of the Knickernappies because they seem to be larger than my other OS diapers and they're pretty trim. The other diapers that I bought were Rocky Mountain, and Smartipants. Out of these two I think I like Smartipants better, you don't need to take out the insert when you wash them! It comes out on its own in the wash! The other thing I like is the price, however, I got the Rocky Mountain cheaper...but it was on sale and not normally priced where I got it!

In non cloth diapering news, little man will most likely be getting tubes in his ears within the next couple weeks. The poor guy has had fluid in his ears since January (I think it's been longer than that, but the doctor said not likely). Whenever we walk into the doctor's office (doesn't matter which doctor it is), little man is fine in the waiting room. Once we start taking the walk to the exam room, the wailing starts, the tears flow freely, and the entire office (perhaps even the whole block) knows we're there. My favorite episode happened at one of MY appointments. I had my first ultrasound for the new baby and little man pitched a fit in his stroller. We didn't even take him out of the stroller...the doctor didn't even touch him! It was rather humerous. At today's appointment he buried his head into my chest and cried and cried. When the doctor took the evil machine out of his ears, little man sucked on his paci and just stared. If the doctor made any move near him, the tears and wailing began again. The doctor got up at one point to go get a business card for me and the tears did not cease. A sad day for our little man.

Poor Becky!-No matter how much the little guys cry about the docs, I think it's harder on us parents because we can't do anything to convince them things are going to be fine. Let him know that tubes aren't that bad - Northern Baby had them put in, and it was *almost* nothing! I'll bet little man will be up and at 'em (and hitting on the nurses) in no time at all!

I love the title of this post - "Fluffy Mail" paints a perfect picture! Those Smartipants look like a diaper NorthernBaby has - I really don't like it, what with all those snaps and stuff. Gimme clunky old Bummis any day - one pocket, two tabs: I'm smart enough to operate those!
