We have had a TON of snow here. I think this past weekend we had close to 18 inches. They were predicting 3-6 inches. Seriously. Had we known that there was going to be so much snow we may have not gone away. However, we did go away and we did not bring any cloth (shudder). I know, we're so naughty. It was a decision that I am glad we made because I didn't want to have to wash all of our diapers (along with all of our other vacation laundry) and then go to work the next day. In the mean time, I've probably done 6-8 loads of regular laundry since we've been home (two days now). And it's not because I adore doing laundry. Little man has a bad cold and coughed enough to spit up an entire bottle's worth of milk. That would be 6-7 oz of milk. UGH! Our poor couch has been through so much.
Anyway, in cloth diaper news, since this is a cloth blog and not a blog to discuss spit up or how to get spit up out of rugs, upholstery, clothing, bureaus, winter coats, and a variety of other things, I am pleased to announce that Happy Heiny's are coming out with new prints!!!!!!
Thus the wants vs needs title. We don't need more cloth, but it would be fun! (Just incase you are wondering I like the square patttern the best, the rest are kinda girlie and I would want the snaps).

Sleeping in cloth and a review of sorts
A couple of weeks ago (so now we are all learning that I am not always very punctual with my blog) I put our little man into his pajamas with a cloth diaper on (it was a Haute Pocket). I had every intention of changing him before he went to bed, however, he fell asleep and I forgot. In the morning my husband (who tends to play with him before he goes to work and lets me sleep), came into our room to ask me if I meant to leave him in the cloth. I said, "OH NO!" He told me that 1. it hadn't leaked and 2. it was full but Jakoby was fine with it. Wow!! Way to go least favorite cloth diaper :) So, that particular diaper is moving it's way up my ranking of great cloth diapers.
My current favorites in order:
1. Happy Heinys
2. Bum Genius
3a. Rumparooz (a little big but LOVE the double gusset) tied with....
3b. Haute Pockets (way to go!!)
5. Fuzzi Buns-- may be an unfair ranking due to not really being in use yet...they're still a bit big
6. WAHM made Pocket.... if this one was slightly larger it would be my number 3...however, Jakoby is almost out of it....sadness because it's super cute
7. WAHM made AIO-- By far my least favorite, due to not really liking how long it takes to dry an AIO and the bulky nature
I have 2 weeks and a couple days until I go back to work. Right now I do a load of cloth diapers every 3 to 4 days. It'll be interesting to see how that changes when I am working full time.

Lots of updates
So, I bought more diapers this week. I know that's all I ever do. But, we were discussing day care and figured it would be better to have more and hopefully do less laundry once I go back to work. Plus most websites suggest 24-36 diapers. So let's look at the cloth count quickly
3 Happy Heinys Small (no longer in use)
1 Happy Heiny Medium
5 Happy Heiny One Size
12 Bum Genius 3.0s
1 AIO WAHM made medium
1 Medium Pocket WAHM made
2 FuzziBunz Medium
2 Rumparooz One Size
3 Haute Pocket One Size
Which brings the total of in use diapers to 27!! (all together our house currently holds 33) Whew. I am really excited about the Rumparooz, they're super cute and one is so soft!
Speaking of which, I found a website that offered free shipping for a certain amount of purchases. I made sure that we were right at that number and as I was checking out, the web site said that I could expect the package in 10-14 business days. This was Monday night, I got the package today!! Way to go!! :) (I got 7 diapers that were all either seconds or discontinued.)
My other favorite site offers free shipping on all their diapers! They unfortunately did not have what I was looking for.
Finally, I would love a Starbunz diaper, but cannot justify the cost.

Cloth diaper re-count
As my little one is growing, he's growing out of some of the diapers! I thought now would be a good time to discuss what we are currently using what we like and such.
* 3 Happy Heinys size small--- no longer in use
* 3 One Size Mommy's Touch
* 3 One Size Haute Pockets
* 11 One Size Bum Genius 3.0s
* 1 One Size Happy Heiny
* 1 Medium Happy Heiny
Happy Heinys I love this brand. They velcro around the waist and hold in all of his messes. They also have super cute prints. Another point of interest, they're mother made and all are made by one family in California! I know we don't have a lot of these, but that is due to price differentials. Some of the prices are steep...especially with shipping. And sometimes the companies selling do not have the prints I like.
Mommy's Touch I haven't tried them on Jakoby yet. They're one size, but you have to fold them to make them fit your child and I feel that they are super bulky. I am not a big fan of the bulky look.
Haute Pocket I am so-so about these. They worked great at first, but I feel like the elastic has stretched out a bit. For the most part they work well, but if he has a leak more than likely he's in these diapers.
Bum Genius 3.0s I love these too. They are cute and work really well. They work even better when you put the liner in correctly :)
I am getting two new diapers in the mail this week or next. They are medium size pocket and a medium size all-in-one. I love the prints that I chose and love that they're mommy made! So, I
will keep you posted about other brands I buy and give you the reviews. I also purchased two new Happy Heinys one size. They're super cute print too, one has monkeys and the other is a cow print. Oh and in Bum Genius news, they're coming out with new colors!!!
