Adventures without soy and milk

That is my new name for this blog or better yet my additional name for this blog. What does this have to do with the use of cloth diapers you ask? Keep reading faithful reader and I will tell you.

Over the weekend J was diagnosed with a milk/soy allergy or intolerance and put on a super expensive formula. Thus it has been quite the week adjusting to my new milk and soy free diet (anyone know of any milk and soy free bread?). The diet is supposed to help him be able to digest breastmilk easier. However, the diet is tough to follow...soy is in so many products, even tortilla chips, although I think I will miss ice cream more than chips. My favorite find of the week is yogurt made out of coconut milk, it's called So Delicious. I also enjoy Oat Milk. It tastes better than Rice Milk, but not nearly as good as the real thing. I will keep you all posted about the diet and what I find that I enjoy and probably what I don't enjoy too!

J is also working on new poo (enter cloth diaper section). Yup, you read that right; J's now a formula fed baby and he creates the stinkiest things I have ever smelled, they are also thick and green. Unfortunately this type of formula is known for these creations. Being from formula it no longer easily washes away. It requires shaking and scraping... into the toilet. Now would be the time to invest in the sprayer. I need more hands, one to hold the diaper, one to hold the scraper, and one to hold my nose!
