So not green.....

Over the past day we have been very un-green. The reasons may be too much for weaker stomachs, feel free to stop reading now, if that's you. If not, just a reminder, I did warn you!!

J was constipated this weekend. Yesterday we gave him 2-3 teaspoons of Karo Syrup. We waited patiently while he struggled through it and finally decided that it would probably be better for me to put him in disposable diapers until he poos again. I was concerned that the clean up would be insane and the executive decision was made.

This morning at 5:oo, my wonderful husband went to CVS to get infant suppositories (he actually went to two different stores due to one lacking infant size suppositories). Already the day looked like it was going to be a fun day, eh? When he got home we assisted our son and helped him become un-constipated. I will spare you the details, but let's just say, it's amazing the things you will do for your child.

Since that fateful time this morning, J has dirtied at least 3 diapers (all disposable). I have felt slightly guilty for feeling grateful that he's in disposables while he cleans out his system.

I am hopeful that my next post will be unrelated to poo and have more to do with cloth (or some exciting news about soy/milk free items). By the way, vegetable oil is not OK for a soy-free diet, it tends to be 100% soybean oil, thus the use of canola oil, olive oil, or some other oil is the way to go when making baked goods.
