We joined a local CSA and signed up to receive the small size (you could choose small, med or large). Our first week, we went to the farm stand, gave our name, and then got to choose which vegetables we wanted to put in our special CSA bag (given by the CSA...really nice canvas bag). The vegetables are set up on tables with signs over them, the signs have a picture of the vegetable and a number for small and medium sizes.

This week we got:
1 bunch of radishes
1 head of Boston Lettuce
1 head of romaine lettuce
1 kousa squash1 zucchini
1 tat soi (similar to bak choy)
1 bunch of garlic scapes
1 bag of peas (still in their pods)
1 bunch of beets
What did I make?A lot of salads (still have plenty of lettuce left over). Chocolate beet muffins...Kevin LOVES these, I think they taste kinda like chocolate covered dirt, but if you like beets to begin with they're good. They didn't look as red as they did in the picture below.

Stir fry (with tofu... vegetarian was in town). 2 Loaves of zucchini bread with enough left over zucchini for another loaf. Yummy!!
