CSA: Week 10

This week we got a bountiful harvest of tomatoes and corn!! This is seriously some of the best corn I've ever had. Now we got this harvest the week of August 15th, however, due to some craziness, vacation, and sheer laziness I am just blogging now.

We got:
1 head of green leaf lettuce
1 pint of sungold & cherry tomatoes
2 onions
1 bunch of beets
a handful of jalapeno peppers
1 dark green spicy pepper
4 regular tomatoes
2 pints of husky tomatoes (I traded my share of plum tomatoes for these and our nanny gave me 2 of her 6 plum tomatoes [she got a large share from the CSA] so I did get 2 plum tomatoes too).
6 ears of corn (plus 2 extra from the nanny)
1 heirloom tomato
1 Italian eggplant
1 bag of wax beans

The Italian eggplant looked somewhat like a bowling ball (at least that's what the Chinese grandmother called it... in Chinese).Have you ever had a sungold tomato? Well you should. They are sooo tasty. My mother and I ate almost everyone of the goldish colored tomatoes in this picture.
Week 11 has been given to a good friend of mine due to the fact that I was on vacation...stay tuned for week 12!
