To start off, little man has an issue with his diapers. In the past month they've been leaking WAY more than usual...not just one type, all the diapers. I am still trying to figure out what is causing this and have looked at several plausible ideas.
1. He's bigger, heavier, and the inserts may not line up in the diaper as well as they used to due to his size and ability to move
2. He's bigger and now has a bigger bladder... thus practicing holding it and letting it out all at once, could be a lot for the diapers
3. The laundry soap failed me and the diapers
Well, part two of this post is about the, "owie, my {insert little man's private part}". We have heard this phrase several times (the dinner table has had the most frequency) over the past few weeks and have tried to determine what is causing the "owie". We think that there is something in the diaper (or laundry soap) that is causing a reaction on his skin, making for an "owie". We think that it only hurts while he is going to the bathroom. (I am so ready for potty training...I wish he was).
I e-mailed the laundry soap company to discuss my laundry routine and what I may be doing wrong. The woman who created the soap said that she would send me some sample products with the hope that something will work. For the time being I am using my Planet detergent again and the "owies" have gone away! (The stink...not so much)
