Wine making visit 4

During our fourth and final visit we bottled    This was the longest visit and had the most steps.  We started by washing the bottles with a fun apparatus.  After washing the bottles we filled them with the wine (of course we had to try it first).

After bottling comes corking.  This was a two woman job.

After corking we had to wrap the top with the foil.  That was difficult because the machine was hot and it would shrink wrap the   top onto he bottle.  If you pushed the bottle too far in the end would burn.  If you didn't the wrap would warp.  If you pulled the bottle out too fast the shrink wrap wouldn't stay on.  Sigh.  It took some practice

Then came the labels.  The labels we requested were not made and the label-man who does labels was not there.  So we had to quickly come up with new labels.   We ended up with a picture that I took in a peach orchard.   He only problem I have is the picture is dark.  We attempted to make the picture lighter, however, that didn't work so well.   Thus it isn't as great as we'd thought.
