In a residential neighborhood of Brookline, part of the many areas of Boston, is the birthplace of our 35th president, John F. Kennedy. The house has been part of the national park system since the late sixties. The tour begins in the basement with a brief movie. Most of the movie is Rose Kennedy, discussing her memories. The tour (if you get there after 4 pm) goes at your own pace. It is also free! You can take a hand held recorder that has Rose Kennedy speaking. For the jr park ranger badge, you have to find itemsin each room. Downstairs was a living room, dining room and kitchen. Little bro was surprised the refrigerator was not in the kitchen, but by the back door. He asked the park ranger about that. The park ranger told him it was to make the ice delivery easier. Upstairs were three bedrooms and an office for Rose. On the third floor were two bedrooms for the maids.

This is by far the nicest paper to induct the boys into the Jr Park Ranger program.
In case you are wondering, JFK, was born in the bed closest to the window.
