CSA: Week 4

This week is hot. Dripping hot. Apparently our veggies are in need of rain, our drinking water basins are also in need of rain...who would've thought this in March (we had some major flooding then)??

This week we got:

1 zucchini
1 summer squash-- it came as 2 for the price of 1-- see picture below
1 pickling cucumber
1 bag of peas
1 bunch of radishes (could've got beets or turnips)
1 bunch of spinach (could've got arugula)
1 head of green lettuce... traded that for an additional zucchini**
1 bunch of basil
1 huge thing of scallions




I packed up half of my leftover leafy greens for my mother and tried to get some omph together to make bread. It's been way too hot to even think about turning on the oven. We've used some of our produce here and there in random yummy recipes. Stay tuned for how we used the enormous scallions!!
