Catching up....

It has been a long, crazy winter/spring....sprinter? We had snow in October....and March...well sizable snow in October and March and really just flakes in between. In October we lost several large branches. In February (well the end of February) we FINALLY had tree men come and take the trees out. We had them cut down 5 trees and a whole bunch of hanger branches. What about the branch that was precariously hanging over the roof? Well dear reader(s), it fell hard. Right through the railing of our porch.
I realized that I hadn't finished some of my stories from this fall/winter. Little man was desperate to go skiing. We have a "hill" near by that has been fashioned into a ski slope, we pass it all the time. Little man saw the snow machines filling up the hill with snow all winter. It was quite strange to see a ski hill with loads of snow and the rest of the area...green. Anyway, I digress. Little man would often comment that Heyda would be taking him soon. My father called one afternoon and I asked him what he was up to; he said he was going skiing for the weekend. I said, "skiing?". Little man perked up in the backseat and said, "heyda is skiing?!? without me?". And then the tears began. Thankfully, I had hung up the phone at this point. By the end of March, the snow was melting and Little man regretfully looked at the snow hill and told me, "Mommy the snow is all gone....Heyda didn't take me skiing!" This should make my father think twice before promising Little Man something.

In other news, Little Bro is doing the army crawl all over the house. We have several sets of stairs (4 to be exact) and Little Bro has managed to get himself stuck trying to go up a set and almost taken a header going down a set. Little Bro is quite active and LOVES doing everything that Little man is doing.

Finally, although I don't have much to report in the way of cloth diapering....I will be posting more about my newest conquest. Going gluten-free. We are a partially gluten free household and I am learning quickly what we can and can't have around.  I've also found some delicious bread recipes and cookie recipes.
